Ander Herrera has made quite the impression on Manchester United fans since his arrival from Athletic Bilbao in the summer and has developed an immediate friendship with compatriots David de Gea and Juan Mata at the club.
The three Spanish musketeers have all played key roles in United’s season so far and this week, De Gea and Herrera sat down to for a Q+A session with Chevrolet.
When asked by Herrera what his main strength was, De Gea gave as big a compliment as he could: “On the pitch, right? I think how well you move the ball with your feet and how you look for space, you’re a very complete player.”
Here at The Peoples Person, we’ve also said Herrera is a complete player so De Gea isn’t alone in thinking the midfielder has everything in his locker.
Herrera was a breath of fresh air into United’s stale midfield this summer and after winning Man of the Match against Hull City, he was rewarded with a start against Stoke the following week and is expected to start on Monday at Southampton.
His energy and mobility in the middle of the pitch give United a dynamic they have lacked for so long and over the course of the season, Herrera is without doubt going to be one of United’s most important players.
