Marcos Rojo made one fan have a real night to remember at St. Mary’s stadium by giving him his Manchester United shirt after the full-time whistle.
The Argentinian defender followed in the footsteps of Robin van Persie by handing out his match shirt to a fan and although the gesture may be small to Rojo, it’s a memory that will stay with the for a long time.
Rojo has endeared himself to fans on the pitch with how committed and passionate he is on the pitch. Off of it, he could do far worse than to engage with the fans and even hand out his shirt.
In two consecutive games prior to Southampton, Rojo was excellent at centre-back and although his form certainly dipped yesterday against Southampton, he still remains United’s first-choice centre back when fit, based on performances this season.
Next weekend, United have their biggest game at Old Trafford so far in Liverpool and Louis van Gaal will be wanting Rojo to be firing on all cylinders.
