Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea was once again man of the match for the home side as they ran out 3-0 winners over Liverpool.
De Gea made several key saves in the first half, the first of which was extra important given Wayne Rooney put United ahead seconds later.
His save in the second half from Mario Balotelli was the most spectacular of the lot and the Spaniard continued to thwart the Liverpool striker with the visitors continuously failing to beat the United no.1.
3-0 was a convincing scoreline in the end but had it not been for De Gea the story could have been very different and not for the first time supporters were waxing lyrical about the goalkeeper.
De Gea is streaks ahead of every other keeper in the league at the moment. His progression since 2011 has been fantastic.

Give DeGea an open cheque book, what ever it takes to keep him at the club. We'll not find a keeper like him for a long long time. #Class

I'll take up drinking if we sell De Gea

Feels like we're saying this after every game but de Gea is a genius! What a game!

That said, it was definitely De Gea standing between that and a 'what if?'… Show him the money. Must be close who's better in him & Neuer

De Gea is possibly in the best form of his career at Old Trafford right now and it is becoming a theme that the Spanish international is making several key saves week in, week out.
It is largely down to him that Louis van Gaal‘s side have won six in a row and go to Aston Villa next week on their best run of form in several seasons.
