There’s no better way to continue increasing popularity among Manchester United fans than scoring against Liverpool and Juan Mata did just that on Sunday afternoon.
The popular Spaniard scored the second goal that put United in control of the match and then set up the third with a certain amount of coolness where others would have shot.
Mata has at times struggled for top form under both Louis van Gaal and David Moyes but the midfielder has an impressive goal scoring record and once again popped up in the right place against Liverpool.
There are heavy doubts over whether the goal should have stood due to Mata being offside but United fans didn’t care one bit after the game.
Credit to Mata, looks like there is a role for him in this team.Still,if a decent offer comes in it'll be interesting to see what the club do

Just when I think I can't love Mata any more than I do, he scores against Liverpool. And it was offside, you say? Dreamy.

Mata. You're a productive genius.

Mata has been popular among United supporters ever since his arrival from Chelsea in January but a goal and an assist against bitter rivals such as Liverpool is a great way to keep fans on side.
