Angel Di Maria was training with his team-mates as normal as Manchester United prepared for their next match against Aston Villa.
Di Maria has been missing from action for three weeks since picking up a hamstring injury against Hull City but his colleagues have continued their winning streak and extended it to six with victories over Stoke, Southampton and Liverpool in that time.
The Argentinian’s return is still most welcome though given his importance to the team this season. In an attack that doesn’t always house a great deal of pace, Di Maria’s ability to carry the ball up the field aided United’s attack early in the season.
With van Persie and Rooney also hitting top form and Falcao back fit and ready to play, United’s attack could be at its best over the Christmas period.
Luke Shaw was also seen training on Friday morning, the left-back has been missing since the win against Arsenal last month.
