Radamel Falcao’s name has been met with joy ever since the striker joined Manchester United on deadline day back in September.
The nature of the deal and the shock among supporters that Falcao joined United after weeks of being linked to City and Real Madrid seems to have made the Colombian an instant hero among supporters and he gave them something back today against Aston Villa.
In just his fourth start for the club and his first since October, Falcao was lively, created the chances and topped off his best performance for the club with a good header to draw the visitors level.
On a day where several of United’s key men disappointed, supporters appreciated Falcao’s class and work ethic ona difficult afternoon.

I have absolutely no doubt whatsoever that we should keep Falcao – whatever it costs. He's a fighter and doesn't give up. #MUFC

His first touch can be a bit loose, maybe due to lack of match practice, but Falcao's hold up and link up play is class. Great No.9

To see one of their star attackers back to full fitness and hitting some form will be a huge positive to both the club and the fans given United now face four games in nine days, starting on Boxing Day at home to Newcastle.
If he’s fit enough, it would be a surprise to see Falcao relegated back to the bench at Old Trafford come Friday.
