Spanish journalist Guillem Balague has denied the rumours regarding Real Madrid star Gareth Bale moving to Manchester United in the near future.
Over the course of the weekend, several national newspapers reported Bale was ready to move to Old Trafford and United were prepared to stump up the fee for the Welshman.
But Balague, regularly seen on Sky Sports, believes there is no truth in the stories given that Bale has a £1bn release fee with the Champions League holders.
However, it is unlikely that Bale will actually leave the club for that fee when Florentino Perez decided to move Bale on for the next exciting talent ready to earn his keep at the Bernabeu.
Bale’s buy out clause is £1b. Not sure where the stories about Manchester United come from, but I understand there is no truth in it.

United were extremely interested in Bale during his time at both Southampton and Tottenham and bid for the winger on both occasions with the 25-year-old deciding to reject Old Trafford on both occasions.
If any move did occur, Bale would become a crucial addition to Louis van Gaal‘s side and a key player if and when the manager decides to move to a settled 4-3-3 formation, Bale being one of the world class players United currently lack.
