Manchester United midfielder Daley Blind has revealed his girlfriend found her way into the away end when his side faced Manchester City back in November.
At a time when Blind was becoming key to the way United played, the Dutchman decided to get his girlfriend some tickets for the game but was unable to get any executive tickets.
So, Blind’s girlfriend sat in the away end and it’s a great anecdote to hear that she felt safe despite the hostilities of the day.
Blind: 'When we played City, I got my girlfriend tickets. She ended up with the hardcore United fans, but she didn't feel unsafe at all.'

A serious knee injury in the weeks after the game has kept Blind out of action ever since and it could be a while into the New Year before the midfielder returns to action.
After joining on deadline day, the 24-year-old had been a constant in the team and it appears he and his partner are settling nicely into life in Manchester and the culture that comes with being a United player.
With Michael Carrick back in form, Marouane Fellaini returning to his Everton form and Ander Herrera back in the reckoning, Blind may struggle to regain his position in the team but his impending return will be a huge boost given his form upon his arrival.
