Former Manchester United midfielder Mats Moller Daehli has moved to German side Freiburg after an unsuccessful spell at Cardiff City.
To the surprise of many, Daehli left United in 2013 to join Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at Molde along with Magnus Eikrem, another former talent on the books at Old Trafford.
But once Solskjaer was sacked at the Cardiff City Stadium, both players effectively had their careers ended in Wales. Eikrem was released from his contract several days ago and Daehli has been allowed to join the Bundesliga strugglers.

After seeing relegation with Cardiff in the Premier League last season, Daehli should be bracing himself for another scrap as his new side currently sit bottom of Bundesliga.
The Norwegian did try his best to drag Cardiff out of their situation, scoring a 95th minute equaliser against West Brom in March but overall the team didn’t do enough to stay up
Many thought Daehli and Eikrem would flourish under Solskjaer given their reputations as top talents at Old Trafford, especially at a lower level such as the Championship but the demise of the former United legend meant both were deemed surplus to requirements by new manager Russell Slade.
