Andreas Pereira was back on the bench last weekend for the first time since Manchester United’s 1-1 with Chelsea back in October thanks to a series of injuries opening up an opportunity for him.
The 18-year-old has been in and around United’s first-team having been brought through by Louis van Gaal this season and is clearly making the right impressions in training to have earned his place back on the bench.
After United’s win over Newcastle, Pereira was quick to congratulate his team-mates and the Brazilian will be hoping to make the bench for the game against Tottenham Hotspur today.
Van Gaal has nurtured a multitude of youngsters into United’s first-team squad this season and Pereira has been one of those he has given an opportunity to. Although he is yet to make his Premier League debut, Pereira will be buoyed by the progress he has already made this year.
