After a string of impressive performances close to home, Juan Mata put in his most impressive away performance for Manchester United against Tottenham on Sunday.
Mata is one of United’s most in-form players right now and on another day would have had the winning goal but blazing over from six yards was the only blot on Mata’s copybook.
The Spaniard controlled United’s attacking play as he did against Newcastle, playing a superb pass for Rooney early on and some of his touches under pressure had supporters mesmerised.
His passing was exceptional as usual and supporters were quick to praise the little Spaniard throughout the game.
Have I said how good Mata was today? If I didn't, he was very good. Much better than his usual.

Mata by far #mufc's most creative player. Flourished since winner v Palace and should've crowned display with a goal. Strikers struggled.

Want to rub my face on Mata’s beard and then watch him play perfect through balls all day long.

Mata has been superb, away from home.

Mata’s inability to grab games by the scruff of the neck had some fans frustrated given his fee but since coming on and scoring the winner against Crystal Palace, Mata has excelled.
Goals against Stoke and Liverpool plus virtuoso performances today and against Newcastle on Boxing Day have proved Mata does have a place at Old Trafford.
