Ashley Young has been criticised heavily since his first season with Manchester United. After an impressive start to life at Old Trafford, Young became quite the scapegoat but recent form is winning fans over.
After a couple of difficult seasons, Young appeared reinvigorated during pre-season as Louis van Gaal played him the wing back role as part of the 3-5-2 system.
Despite struggling at the start of the season, Young has been in great form back in the same role of late and was once again a plus point of United’s performance.
Supporters have been critical of him in the past but are starting to give him the praise his recent performances deserve.
Ashley Young is by far our best player. Nothing of any worth happening down the right.

Enormous contrast between Young and Valencia. One looks like a new player, the other still the same infuriating one-dimensional nonce.

Never thought I'd say this but it's a pleasure to watch Ashley Young at the moment

Still laughing that Young has turned into Maldini

Would like to see Young switched to the right in next game and Shaw to start. Young doesn’t deserve to be dropped at present. #MUFC

A few of his crosses today left little to the imagination but he was a constant outlet on the wing whilst Antonio Valencia was anonymous on the right.
Young showed his capability to run at defenders and was only denied a world class goal in the first half by a world class save from Hugo Lloris.
