Falcao: We’ll keep fighting

by Sam Peoples

Radamel Falcao was back among the goals for Manchester United in yesterday’s match but it wasn’t the result Louis van Gaal will have wanted.

A 1-1 draw saw United record their third consecutive stalemate away from home over the festive period but thanks to results elsewhere it hasn’t affected the Premier League table too much.

United were very poor at times against Stoke and will most certainly be looking for an improved performance at the weekend against Yeovil.

Falcao was United’s main man against Stoke. He coped excellently with the physical aspect of Stoke’s game and although his first-touch was a little rusty, he was still United’s most important player in attack.

It was good to see Falcao coming through another performance unscathed but he is likely to be rested for the game against Yeovil this weekend in order to give him some rest.
