Yeovil Town vs Man Utd: Potential 4-4-2 diamond – Herrera returns

by Sam Peoples

Manchester United kick-off their FA Cup campaign with an away trip to Yeovil Town on Sunday and Louis van Gaal has already made it clear he wants to win the trophy.

After the shambolic exit in the Capital One Cup in a 4-0 drubbing by MK Dons, Van Gaal will not put out such a young side against Yeovil and there are some first-team players really in need of some game time.

Ander Herrera should make his return to the starting XI having come on as a substitute against Stoke City and this is the perfect game for him to find his feet again.

Adnan Januzaj is also in line for a re-call. He was poor at left wing-back against Stoke but in his natural position, Januzaj could be given another opportunity.

Elsewhere, we’ve started both Luke Shaw and Rafael to help with their match fitness and given James Wilson a rare start.

Overall, this line-up is a good mix of experience and youth.
