Manchester United were pleased to see their star man and record signing return against Yeovil Town on Sunday.
Barring a brief substitute appearance at Aston Villa before Christmas, Angel Di Maria had been missing since pulling a hamstring against Hull at the end of November.
Di Maria came on and instantly added pace to United’s game and used that pace to good effect late on when he ran through to seal a 2-0 victory.
Despite just providing a cameo against lower league opposition, supporters were delighted to have Di Maria back in the team.
Di Maria's directness, pace and trickery has been sorely lacked. Major boost to have him back

Great to see Di Maria back and he took his goal well. Great ball from Rooney to set him up. Annoyed we took Falcao off again though!

I'm just glad we are in the hat. And glad Di Maria is back.

Tremendous to have Di Maria back. Gives United exactly what we've lacked, speed to counter-attack.

Di Maria actually saved us. A goal line clearance and a late late goal. Potentially the difference between a 1-1 and 2-0. #YEOMUN

With a full week to rest before the match against Southampton, it would be a huge surprise to see Di Maria on the bench once again given United’s evident need for pace in attack.
If Di Maria does return, United supporters will have every faith in their unbeaten run continuing onwards.
