Radamel Falcao is feeling settled in Manchester and enjoying life at the club.
The Colombian signed on a year long loan deal from Monaco on deadline day in September and has overcome injury issues to score two important goals for Louis van Gaal‘s side over Christmas.
Reports surfaced earlier this week that Falcao could leave the club in the summer but the Colombian is popular at Old Trafford and recent signs that he is returning to form could alter that decision.
Speaking to ManUtd.com, Falcao insisted he and his family were happy in Manchester: “I’m good,” he said.
“My family are comfortable. We’re enjoying life in Manchester and here at the club. The people have been great with me, with my family. We’re happy and very grateful.”
“Right from the start, they [my colleagues] welcomed me,” he revealed. “They supported me and helped me with whatever I needed. They are a really humble group of players, really decent and, well, I was taken aback by how kind they’ve been.”
The 29-year-old also explained the reasoning behind his passionate celebration. On the three occasions he has found the net this season, the striker has wasted no time in darting towards his adoring supporters and he also had a New Year message for his new fans.
“I place a lot of value in the hard work that I have to put in for each goal and I know just how much effort it requires, so that’s why I celebrate like that,” he explained. “For me, each goal means a lot so I put a lot of passion into my celebrations.”
“First of all, I’d say thank you so much for the way the fans have treated me,” he stated. “Then I’d want to wish them a happy 2015 and I hope that we can bring them some happiness.”
