Wesley Sneijder’s agent has confirmed the Dutch midfielder has entered talks with Juventus over a move to the Serie A side.
Speaking to De Telegraaf, the latest update from Sneijder’s agent on his future could put an end to the constant speculation linking him with a move to Manchester United.
SportMediaSet in Italy have gone one step further by suggesting a deal for Sneijder has already been agreed with Juventus.
Once upon a time, Sneijder was considered by many United fans as the ideal replacement for Paul Scholes. His form during Inter Milan’s treble winning season and Holland’s second place at the World Cup during 2010 saw him named fourth on the Ballon d’Or shortlist, a mere 2% behind third placed Andres Iniesta. He was deservedly a wanted player.
However, those days are in the past and rumours linking him to United are now seen as an inconvenience more than anything else.
