Adnan Januzaj is reportedly now a target for Juventus after the Italian side grew frustrated with Galatasaray’s refusal to lower the price of Wesley Sneijder.
Gazzetta dello Sport journalist Carlo Laudisa suggests 19-year-old Januzaj is being targeted for a loan deal which would see him move to the Serie A side in January.
So far this season at Manchester United, Januzaj has played a bit part role. He has been given just a handful of starts under Van Gaal and with United’s squad looking as healthy as it has done in a long time with injuries, there aren’t likely to be many more chances for Januzaj other than fleeting substitute appearances.
At the start of the season, a loan move for Januzaj seemed like the wrong idea for him but now it looks like it could be a viable option for the Belgian youngster.
He is still only 19 and the most important thing for a player of his age is simply to play as much football as possible but it doesn’t look like he’ll get that at United this season very often.
However, recent poor loan spells for a lot of United’s youngsters raises question marks as to whether Januzaj may simply find himself in the same situation with Juventus and not play enough.
Van Gaal expects more United youngsters to go out on loan so there is certainly the possibility of movement but is a move to Italy the right one for Januzaj? Have your say.
