On advice of the club medical staff I am unable to fly out to Zurich tomorrow to attend the FIFA Ballon d'Or gala.

I will be watching it from home and my good friend @GullitR will take the honours for me.
Van Persie is nominated for the Puskas ‘Goal of the Year’ Award for his flying header in the World Cup against Spain which was one of the most iconic moments of the tournament and if he wins the award, fellow countryman Ruud Gullit will accept the award on his behalf.
For United, the major concern is whether Van Persie has indeed suffered an ankle injury but with Radamel Falcao and James Wilson both fit, there is cover should he have to miss the QPR game.
