Angel di Maria has made it clear how happy he currently is at Manchester United but has not closed the door on any potential move to Ligue 1 in the future.
The Argentinian winger was being closely followed by Paris St Germain during the summer but Financial Fair Play rules halted their interest.
Since moving to Man United, Di Maria has enjoyed some blistering form but is currently going through a tougher patch thanks to injuries and trying to re-find his form. Despite that, Di Maria insists he is happy at the moment.
“Moving one day to Ligue 1? I do not know,” he told French outlet Le10Sport after yesterday’s FIFA Ballon d’Or ceremony.
“I am very much in Manchester now. I am very happy, the people have welcomed me very well. But we do not know what may happen one day.”
Much like Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi, Di Maria’s non-committal statement regarding his future is becoming a bit of an industry standard for footballers.
For the time being, Di Maria is happy in Manchester and that’s all that really matters because United’s club record signing is going to be very important in the second half of this season if United are to earn a Champions League spot.
