Manchester United goalkeeper Victor Valdes must have already had quite an influence on team-mate Anders Lindegaard during his time at Old Trafford.
It’s goodbye to Lindegaard’s blonde spikes and hello to his polished bald head. If you looked at both goalkeepers from behind, you’d do well to tell the difference.
The popular Dane is set for a move away from Old Trafford either this month or at the end of season having not made a single appearance under Louis van Gaal and the arrival of Valdes appears to be the final nail in his coffin.
Whilst Vvan Gaal’s main priority is defenders, there is quite a goalkeeping reshuffle going on with the 33-year-old’s arrival seemingly spelling the end of Lindegaard’s Old Trafford career as well as those of Ben Amos and Sam Johnstone.
Whilst the departure of all three would leave just one man giving competition to David de Gea, United would surely look to bring in another ‘keeper in the summer, especially if their no.1 leaves for Real Madrid.
Newcastle United’s Tim Krul has been heavily linked but it is anticipated the former Barcelona man will step into de Gea’s shoes if and when he should leave the club.
