With Ashley Young injured and Daley Blind set for a return to the midfield, it would be a surprise if the 19-year-old left-back didn’t slot straight back in whilst Van Persie may have to make do with a space on the bench.
Radamel Falcao would be unfortunate to be dropped given his overall performance against QPR and he started up front with James Wilson in the last round against Yeovil Town.
Wilson impressed off the bench against QPR, scoring his first goal of the season and linked up well with the Colombian. Depending on Van Persie’s fitness, a place on the bench may be good for all three of the strikers.
The Dutchman picked up a knock as he struggled to impose himself on the match against Southampton two weeks ago and was ruled out of the QPR match.
Shaw was also substituted against his old club but didn’t appear to be injured but he too was a mysterious absence when United visited the London side last weekend.
