Radamel Falcao’s Manchester United goals are always welcomed with an extra roar by supporters given his ever increasing popularity among supporters.
Fans may have felt it was a good day for him to record his United goal at Old Trafford since October as the hosts tore into Leicester during the opening 45 minutes.
Falcao’s overall play was again of a good standard and he linked well with fellow attackers Robin van Persie and particularly Angel Di Maria.
The breakthrough for ‘El Tigre’ came shortly after van Persie’s opener. Some neat play from the Dutchman released Di Maria and Falcao had no problem showing his instinct to tap home the rebound.
Whilst on another day he may have got at least one more, supporters showed their pleasure in Falcao’s much-deserved goal.

Give Falcao a chance and he gets it in. That was beautiful from van Persie to Di Maria for the second goal. @ManUtd

Falcao is behind the two Leicester players as that shot from Di María goes. Edges in, gets a toe, scores. Signs of a true goalscorer.

Falcao was brought off for James Wilson later in the game as van Gaal prepares for a rare midweek game against Cambridge United.
With the Colombian looking fit and confident, Tuesday night could be another great chance for Falcao to find top form.
