Ander Herrera may have cut a frustrated figure at times in the dugout for Manchester United during the game against Leicester City but the Spaniard is continuing to remain upbeat.
Louis van Gaal overlooked Herrera once again and opted to use Wayne Rooney out of position in central midfield instead. Having not started a Premier League game for Man United in some time, you could understand if Herrera was frustrated by his current situation.
Yet, despite a curious situation which sees Herrera benched more often than not, he is maintaining a positive front with United’s supporters.
Very important victory, we are on the right way. FA cup on Tuesday, very exciting competition for all of us @ManUtd
It’s a testament to the sort of character Herrera is but you’d have to imagine that underneath the surface he is beginning to start questioning whether he’s doing wrong.
United’s 3-1 victory over Leicester vindicated Van Gaal’s decision to put out the starting XI he did but when Herrera plays against Cambridge on Tuesday, he surely can no longer be overlooked if he can put in another strong performance like he has in recent previous appearances.
