Daley Blind showed his class to Manchester United fans against Leicester City on Saturday with a superb performance.
Blind returned to his preferred defensive midfield role against the side bottom of the league and was United’s best player, quite a feat given some of the attacking football on display from his team-mates.
The Dutchman dictated the game from midfield. His positioning in front of the defence was spot-on and his passing was as accurate as ever.
But he made a real impact on the game when he lofted a great ball over the top of the defence for international team-mate Robin van Persie to open the scoring and fans were delighted with Blind’s performance.

Blind superb on and off the ball. As composed as Carrick in possession but offers a bit more bite defensively, could become a crucial figure

The amount of times that Blind has recovered the ball in attack for us. MOTM.

With Michael Carrick missing for the next month, Blind’s performances will be crucial as United look to hit form in the next few weeks.
