Man Utd vs Cambridge: Best XI – Herrera and Fellaini start

Even before Manchester City, Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur were all knocked out, Louis van Gaal made it clear he wanted to win the FA Cup.

Now, despite Man United being forced into a replay against Cambridge, Van Gaal’s side are considered favourites to win the competition and United have certainly been given a big opportunity to win the tournament for the first time since 2004.

As such, Van Gaal will be taking no prisoners with his line-up on Tuesday. We think he’ll put out a very physical side geared towards being strong in possession and not easily bullied off the ball which is why we’ve brought Ander Herrera and Marouane Fellaini into central midfield behind Wayne Rooney in the no.10 role.

Although Rafael needs game time, we’ve gone for Antonio Valencia given how much more physical he is. With Cambridge United likely to play lots of set pieces into the box, United will need the added height and presence Valencia offers over Rafael.

Up front, James Wilson and Radamel Falcao have the pace to split Cambridge’s defence and having Robin van Persie as a substitute, just like the first game against Cambridge, gives Van Gaal a great option from the bench.
