Angel di Maria has struggled for top form since picking up a series of different injuries in the lead up to the Christmas period.
Since returning, he scored against Yeovil but failed to really influence United’s results in the league as he had at the start of the season but looked livelier against Leicester on Saturday.
Despite it only being against League Two opposition, Di Maria will take confidence from a good performance on Tuesday night. He used his pace to good effect, put in some great crosses and looked relaxed on the pitch.
Whilst he still hasn’t hit the heights of his opening few games in a red shirt, fans are pleased to see him getting back towards it:
Di Maria in midfield, is ace. Absolute quality.

How nice is it to see #mufc using the width esp.Di Maria on the left. Long may it continue.

Seriously – that McGeehan tackle has awoken Di Maria. His distribution has since been immaculate. #MUFC

Di Maria had a couple of efforts from long range that tested the goalkeeper and put in one superb ball that almost ended in a goal for Robin van Persie.
With a tough test ahead on Saturday against West Ham, Di Maria will once have to take it up on a notch if United are to record another win.
