Radamel Falcao’s agent Jorge Mendes believes that the Colombian will play at a top club next season regardless of whether Manchester United choose to sign him permanently.
Falcao was signed on loan from Monaco by Man United last summer but has struggled to make an impact at Old Trafford so far this campaign, leading to doubts over whether he would be worth the reported £43m it would take Man United to complete a deal.
Speaking to the BBC about Falcao’s future, Mendes said: “If he will not stay in Manchester, he will play for sure in one of the biggest teams in Europe.”
Despite Falcao’s stop-start spell at Man United, the striker has endeared himself to fans with hardworking performances and passionate celebrations. It is difficult to recall a loan player who has had such a profound impact on Man United’s fanbase.
Against Leicester last weekend, Falcao looked sharp and showed some excellent hold-up play. He eventually grabbed his fourth goal for Manchester United by poking in the rebound from Angel di Maria’s saved shot.
It was a good performance from him but he will need to produce many more in the second half of the season if he is to be brought into Man United on a permanent basis.
