Manchester United have confirmed Paddy McNair has signed a new contract with the club until 2017 with the option of a further year.
McNair has produced some impressive performances in recent games having made the step up from the U21s this season and has been rewarded with a new deal.
Louis van Gaal said McNair had signed the contract last week but United’s official Twitter account have now officially confirmed it:

McNair started at right-back in the FA Cup fourth round tie against Cambridge last week and the 19-year-old really stood out in the role.
He had a hand in Juan Mata‘s opener and the youngster eventually won the Man of the Match award for his efforts.
McNair has enjoyed a promising full debut season for the Red Devils and van Gaal clearly likes him. United fans will be hoping he can push on now and cement a regular place in the team.
