PSV Eindhoven defender Santiago Arias has revealed he wants to play in England or Germany if the opportunity arises.
Reports suggest the right back was monitored by Manchester United before David Moyes was sacked last year.
Their interest has cooled since Louis van Gaal took charge of the club but Arias now openly discussed that a move to the Premier League is something that would appeal to him.
Speaking to Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf about his future, Arias said: ”I’m in a great club and I’m very happy. I hope this long to play, though I’m certainly open as a time the opportunity arises in the future to play in England or Germany for example.”
Arias has been a central figure for PSV this season and has registered one goal and one assist in 22 games this season. The 23-year-old was recently rewarded with a new contract which runs to 2019 but is seemingly determined to test himself in a top European league.
With Rafael’s future at the club far from certain United may look to bring in a right-back in the summer and have also been linked with Barcelona’s Dani Alves and Everton’s Seamus Coleman.
