The Spaniard was chosen by Man United fans with a landslide 77% of the vote ahead of Robin van Persie’s half-volley against Leicester (11%) and Marouane Fellaini‘s goal against QPR (4%).
Having endured a frustrating time on the bench, it’s about time Herrera was put back into the limelight and his volley was a deserving winner.
Hitting his shot on the turn, Herrera’s looping half-volley was a wonderful piece of technique and an important goal on the night.
Herrera came off the bench for Man United last night against Burnley after Daley Blind went off with an injury and settled straight back into midfield, helping United keep the ball moving.
United fans were delighted to see Herrera back in action and after his strong performance last night will certainly hope he starts on Monday away to Preston.
