Anderson missed a penalty on his debut for Brazilian side Internacional in their 0-0 draw with Cruzeiro.
Having only been brought on 20 minutes beforehand during the second half, Anderson stepped up to the plate but was unable to convert, leaving him with his head in his hands and without a debut goal.
To be fair to him, it wasn’t the worst penalty in the world but it certainly gave the goalkeeper a chance.
Anderson scored a superb penalty for Manchester United back in the 2008 UEFA Champions League final having been brought on specifically for that purpose, so he knows how to deal with pressure when it comes to penalties. Maybe he just left his penalty boots in Moscow.

As far as getting your career off to a good start goes, missing a penalty in a 0-0 draw won’t rank very highly.
