Timothy Fosu-Mensah captains Netherlands to 7-0 win over England

Timothy Fosu-Mensah has continued the impressive start to his footballing career by captaining Netherlands U17s to an emphatic 7-0 win over England.

The Manchester United youngster has earned rave reviews following some stellar performances for the U18s and he led his country to a resounding win on Friday.

Netherlands flew out the traps at Estadio Municipal da Bela Vista and they raced into a four-goal lead inside 18 minutes. John Peacock’s England youngsters failed to recover as Netherlands punished a number of their mistakes.

Another two goals from Javairo Dilrosum came either side of a Jay-Roy Grot strike as Netherlands sealed a brilliant victory.

Fosu-Mensah’s performance will more than likely catch the eye of Louis van Gaal back at Old Trafford.

United fans have already been introduced to the 17-year-old having witnessed his match-winning display against Hull City in the FA Youth Cup last month.
