Ander Herrera is looking ahead to Sunderland next weekend after a disappointing defeat against Swansea City today.
Despite the Spaniard’s excellently taken goal that put Manchester United ahead, Louis van Gaal‘s side were unable to turn that lead into three points and Jonjo Shelvey’s deflected effort gave Swansea all three points.
There has been more than one occasion this season where Man United’s performances have underwhelmed but strangely enough, United’s second half performance prior to Shelvey’s goal was one of total dominance but, equally so, of poor finishing which ultimately cost them the game.
Having started three games in succession, Herrera has earned plenty of praise from both van Gaal and United’s supporters for how he has played.
Although the result was disappointing, Herrera’s goal and good performance was one of the few positives from the game which should help his confidence going into next weekend’s game against Sunderland which is now surely a must win for United.
