Disappointing. Frustrating. Worrying. Despite the fact Manchester United actually looked better against Swansea City than they had in recent games, they still suffered a 2-1 defeat.
Ander Herrera gave Louis van Gaal’s side the lead with a drilled finish but goals from Ki Sung-yueng and Jonjo Shelvey sealed all three points for Swansea.
Shelvey’s goal came after a sustained period of pressure from United but their momentum fell apart after the strike and they never looked like equalising.
The result was bad but we wanted to know if our Twitter followers felt there were any positives United could take from the game:

@PeoplesPerson_ None. Zero. Absolutely pathetic. Giggs might be caretaker manager two years in a row.

@peoplesperson_ good chance creation and possession ; Rooney; Herrera; Young. That’s it.

Another positive performance from Ander Herrera which included his third goal in as many starts was considered by many as the only positive to take from what was ultimately a very disappointing defeat.
The loss comes at the worst possible time for United and van Gaal as they face a tough run of fixtures over March and April.
United take on Sunderland and Newcastle before daunting games against Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool. The team will then face Aston Villa, Manchester City, Chelsea and Everton as they bid to finish in the top four of the Premier League. Gulp.
