Feyenoord have joined the chase for Manchester United’s Andreas Pereira amid reports from Voetbal Nieuws that suggest the midfielder is unimpressed by Louis van Gaal‘s plans and wants to leave the club.
Pereira’s contract expires in the summer and he is yet to agree an extension, leading to heavy speculation about his future and whether he will the club.
PSV Eindhoven have been in contact with the 19-year-old’s father to discuss his future at Man United while the likes of Paris-Saint Germain and Juventus have also been linked with him, so there are plenty of clubs around Europe who are interested in Pereira if he is to leave this summer.
Pereira has enjoyed a good season of progression for United having made his senior debut in the Capital One Cup against MK Dons. He was back among the goals on Monday night with the U21s as well.
However, there have been issues with the negotiation of a new deal for him. He rejected United’s first offer of a contract renewal however and his future at the club is far from certain.
Whether or not the issue for Pereira is game time or money remains to be seen but with interest growing in him, United will have to strike a deal sooner rather than later or there is a danger he could leave on a free transfer like Paul Pogba did.
