Wolfsburg midfielder Kevin De Bruyne has hinted he would be interested in joining Manchester United after refusing to rule out a move away from the Bundesliga.
Reports suggest United have been interested in the Belgium international since he joined Wolfsburg from Chelsea in January 2014.
De Bruyne has enjoyed a fine season for Wolfsburg having scored 11 goals and assisted 15 so far this term and has quickly become the most creative midfielder in the Bundesliga statistically.
His form has attracted interest from the likes of United, Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich and De Bruyne admits he would find it difficult to turn down the chance to win trophies.
Speaking about his future, De Bruyne said: “I feel very much at home with VfL Wolfsburg in this very moment.
“I am able to sign a new contract with Wolfsburg. Life in football can be fast moving. Football is much about money. Wolfsburg is not yet like Bayern Munich, of course.
“And my biggest ambition is to come out for a big European club. One I can win trophies with. As much trophies as possible.
”I’ll never say that in the summer I’ll go or stay. In football it wouldn’t be wise. Lots kiss the badge on the jersey and say ‘I’m staying’. Then they’re gone. Also in football, things can go fast.”
De Bruyne joined Chelsea back in 2012 but, like many, had to contend with several loan spells before leaving on a permanent basis. He only managed three league appearances at the London club despite his clear talent.
Wolfsburg would want a big fee for the player as selling De Bruyne could help with FFP regulations whilst also giving them money to spend during the transfer window.
