Manchester United’s season so far has been filled with more ups and downs than a Tour de France stage.
From a season high buzz generated by beating Liverpool 3-0 at Old Trafford to a season low disappointment of letting a two goal lead turn into a 5-3 defeat away to Leicester, it’s been a rollercoaster for fans.
As well as interchangeable results, player performances have varied but there have certainly been those who have earned their stripes this season.
With that in mind, we asked the almost rhetorical question of who fans believed had been Man United’s best player so far and the results might not surprise you:

Although De Gea was chosen the majority of fans, there were a few other names sporadically thrown into the hat:
@PeoplesPerson_ Marcos Rojo. I think he's surprised everyone with how well he's done in his first season.

For the second year in succession, De Gea has excelled at Man United and grown both in stature and presence. A player who was once an unassuming boy with scruffy bumfluff on his chin has become a man rightly renowned as one of the world’s best goalkeepers, accompanied with a chiseled beard.
Like London house prices, De Gea’s growth rate has been phenomenal and coming towards the end of season player awards, it’s hard to look past the Spaniard completing a clean sweep for the second year in succession.
