Earlier this year, Dinamo Zagreb coach Zoran Mamic said the Croatian club had come to an agreement with Angelo Henriquez to sign him on a permanent deal in the summer.
Now, fresh reports from Croatia say Henriquez has a desire to stay at the club, something which Dinamo would obviously need for any agreement to be reached.
Back when the news broke about a €1 deal being agreed for Henriquez, we asked our readers what they thought about the Chilean striker and whether thought he should have been sold. Plenty of fans wanted to see Henriquez getting an opportunity with United.
We also got spoke to Croatia based journalist Alexander Holiga to find out more from the press’ perspective and his damning comments suggest that league isn’t good for the tricky striker and that he should focus his efforts on finding a different club.
If personal terms have indeed now been agreed, there is nothing standing in the way of Henriquez’s move to Dinamo Zagreb on a permanent basis. That being said, the Chilean could potentially be a wildcard option for Louis van Gaal at the moment if he were at the club given how poorly his attackers have done so far this season.
