Arsenal might have beaten Manchester United 2-1 to reach the FA Cup semi-final but it will be the performance of referee Michael Oliver which will be the centre of attention.
Oliver got plenty of decisions correct including booking Adnan Januzaj for his late dive. That being said, he bottled it when he should have sent Bellerin off for a second yellow card early in the second half.
His decision to send Angel di Maria off is one of the main talking points from a United fans’ perspective.
The South American was booked for diving having gone down far too easily after a light tug, in much the same fashion as Danny Welbeck did in the first half, and lost his head when he pulled Oliver’s shirt to get another yellow only seconds later.
At least Oliver sends off every player who touches him…
