Here is a Manchester United team which we consider the best possible XI which Louis van Gaal can use against Tottenham:
David de Gea – “Hey I made it, I’m the world’s greatest.” R.Kelly didn’t write that song about De Gea but he may as well have.
Rafael da Silva – Fresh off a quality performance with the U21s, Rafael should definitely come back into the team.
Phil Jones – His partnership with Marcos Rojo has got real potential.
Marcos Rojo – United’s best defender and so long as he is passed fit to play, will be very important.
Luke Shaw – Daley Blind could also play here but Shaw’s pace and power in attack make him the more threatening opponent.
Ander Herrera – Might have been taken off against Arsenal but the Spaniard should be straight back into the starting XI.
Michael Carrick – This is when United need Carrick to step up as we’ve missed his calming possesion.
Ashley Young – Is Young fit? United fans are certainly hoping so. He’s been great.
Juan Mata – United’s new forgotten man should be in the XI if van Gaal has any sense.
Wayne Rooney – Captain by name, captain by nature. United’s lead man is attacking from the front at the moment.
James Wilson – It’s a toss up between James Wilson and Radamel Falcao but with the Colombian so drastically out of form, we think now is the time to give Wilson a Premier League start.
