After struggling against Arsenal on Monday night, Marouane Fellaini put in one of his best Manchester United performances in against the other North London side on Sunday.
Kept in the starting line-up to once again support Wayne Rooney, Fellaini had a much better game and the space given to him by the visitors certainly aided his cause.
The Belgian opened the scoring for United, although not in the fashion anyone would have imagined as he ran through and slotted home with his left foot. He also caused issues from a corner which led to Michael Carrick scoring the second soon after.
He polarises opinion and he’s regularly the fall guy when things don’t go well but supporters were full of praise for the Belgian after Sunday’s victory.
Fellaini broke up play, intercepted passes, won headers and scored a goal. Can't ask for more from a player tbh.

Who knew Fellaini could run like this?

Fair play to Fellaini, he's certainly made his mark on this match

Quality from Fellaini: an expert at jumping early and preventing marker from getting up at all #MUFC

What’s a thing that can be both clumsy and graceful, depending on the moment? That’s Fellaini.

Whilst some would still prefer United to play slick football as opposed to aiming at Fellaini’s head, United for once managed to do both effectively against Spurs.
Fellaini was a threat every time he got on the ball and will surely once be deployed to cause similar chaos as United prepare for a huge game at Anfield in a week’s time.
