Juventus midfielder Arturo Vidal has dismissed speculation over his future with the Italian giants by claiming that he is happy at the club.
Vidal was the subject of a long transfer saga last summer, with a number of reports linking him with Manchester United.
After his strong performances at the World Cup, despite playing quickly following knee injury, Vidal was widely touted for a move away from Italy.
However, the player himself has now insisted he will be going nowhere as he is enjoying life at Juventus.
Speaking about his future, Vidal said: ”It is hard to think about leaving Juventus when you have been crowned champions and you are part of a great team.
“For any player, the most important thing is to win trophies and to become part of the club’s history.
“The people in Turin love me, I am feeling very well here and my family is feeling right at home.
“Why should I have any desire to leave? I am feeling extremely well at Juventus.”
The speculation over Vidal’s potential move to United reached ridiculous levels in the final few days of the summer transfer window last year.
It got to the point where the Chilean’s every move was meticulously analysed. United undoubtedly need a player of Vidal’s quality in order to bring balance to their midfield but fans may wonder if he is worth the hassle. There are also question marks over Vidal’s long-term fitness, with his knee causing him a number of issues in the past.
