Manchester United’s performance against Tottenham Hotspur last weekend was magnificent and arguably the best complete 90 minutes of football played under Louis van Gaal.
In that game, Daley Blind filled in at left-back and did very well. Andros Townsend and Kyle Walker should have given him a torrid time with their apace but the Dutchman managed to stay composed throughout.
Heading into Sunday’s match at Anfield, van Gaal has a decision to make – does he bring Luke Shaw back into the starting XI or does Blind keep his place?
We asked our Twitter followers who they wanted to see start at left-back against Liverpool. Here’s what some of them had to say:

@PeoplesPerson_ Blind, with Carrick and Herrera anchoring the centre of the park.

@PeoplesPerson_ haven't a clue!! Because we did well last weekend, should be blind.

@PeoplesPerson_ in a big game like this, I'd rather he started. Shaw doesn't look quite comfortable/settled to me..

@PeoplesPerson_ No changes for Liverpool game. We looked good.

@PeoplesPerson_ blind. Young can track back and help him on sterling.

The overwhelming majority of fans want to see Blind keep his spot in the starting XI and we agree with them.
Raheem Sterling’s pace is a real worry but so was Andros Townsend’s and Kyle Walker. Furthermore, Ashley Young would be able to double up with Blind to strengthen the defensive side of things.
Shaw is the best long term left-back at the club but for Sunday’s game, Blind’s added composure will be very necessary.
