Luke Shaw: Manchester United ready for Liverpool clash

by Ben Topliss

Luke Shaw believes Manchester United’s clash against Liverpool on Sunday will be a tough one but insisted the team are fully prepared for the game.

Man United produced a fine performance in their previous match and comfortably beat Tottenham Hotspur at Old Trafford.

Meanwhile, Liverpool are enjoying a good run of form and haven’t lost in the league for 13 games.

Despite Liverpool’s impressive form, Shaw is confident of getting a positive result at Anfield but acknowledges the team will need to put in a top performance to get three points:

Louis van Gaal has ruled out Shaw starting against Liverpool but he will be hoping to make an impact from the bench. However, against the pace of Raheem Sterling and Daniel Sturridge, it is important not to have any passengers in the game so it is likely that Daley Blind will be used in the position instead.

Liverpool might be on an excellent run of form in the Premier League but who was the last team to beat them? Man United. Bring on Sunday.
