Radamel Falcao was all smiles as he joined in the dressing room celebrations with his Manchester United team-mates at Anfield this afternoon.
The Colombian striker came on as a second half substitute and although he wasn’t able to really influence the game as Manchester United were simply playing the clock down, he was able to get involved in the after party.
Games for Man United don’t get any bigger than an away trip to Anfield and Louis van Gaal winning in his first ever game there was a fantastic result.
Falcao might not have been able to replicate Diego Forlan’s heroics like Juan Mata did with his brace but the growing confidence of United’s squad will surely rub off on him ahead of the international break.
Colombia’s coach Jose Pekerman intends to sit down with Falcao and help return confidence back into his game during this international break, so hopefully he will return to United with a fresh attitude (and plenty of goals).
