Former Manchester United defender is adament Radamel Falcao will not join Liverpool if he leaves Old Trafford because they are not a big enough club.
It is looking increasingly likely that Falcao will leave Man United following a difficult season for the Colombian because even he has a fantastic end to the year, it would be a huge risk to sign him.
Reports earlier this week suggested Liverpool may look to bring Falcao to Anfield this summer in order to add depth to their squad up front.
Parker dismissed the idea and believes that the 29-year-old will end up abroad if United do not make his loan move from Monaco permanent at the end of the season.
Speaking about Falcao’s future, Parker said: ”As for Liverpool? Nice idea, but they are not quite big enough a club for Falcao; he must be looking for more than that.
“And being ex-United it’s unlikely the fans would take to him especially if he did not hit the ground running.
“It is great talk for Liverpool, though: even the suggestion that they can attract players of his quality shows that they are moving forward.
“To be frank, both moves are pipe dreams. A move overseas beckons if he does not make the grade at United.”
There has been a lot of speculation over where Falcao will play next season but it will almost certainly not be at United.
As much as fans would love to see the striker replicate his world-class form at the club, the move simply hasn’t worked. Officials at United will be thankful that they only brought Falcao in on loan given his huge wage demands.
