Manchester United’s Andreas Pereira has been called up to play for Brazil’s U20s squad.
The Brazil side will play in a friendly tournament against Cameroon, Honduras and Qatar in preparation for the upcoming FIFA U20s World Cup.
It isn’t Pereira’s first call-up to the squad but nevertheless it is still good to see him being included in the side.
Having already enjoyed excellent progress with Man United’s first-team, Pereira’s season is continuing to go from strength to strength.
He was also in action this weekend with Man United’s U19s in a Nike tournament and played a starring role in their 3-0 win over AS Monaco with a goal and an assist (click here to see smart assist).
Pereira is yet to sign a new contract with United but he should be delighted with the progress he has made at both club and country level at such a young age.
United fans are obviously hoping the club can secure Pereira’s long-term future but the longer it goes on without the Belgian born midfielder signing a new deal, the greater fans will fear he could simply decide to leave the club.
