Ex-Barcelona striker Hristo Stoichkov has criticised Louis van Gaal for his management style and blamed him for his early exit from the Catalan side.
Having played under van Gaal during the Dutchman’s first spell at the club, Stoichkov accuses him of asking inappropriate questions to his wife as an example of his poor management style.
“I have no respect for him, he’s garbage,” Stoichkov said.
“One day, when I was injured and I was with my wife at the Nou Camp. He went up to her and asked
“how was possible that she married someone like me?”
“It was the fault of Van Gaal that I moved on to CSKA Sofia.”
Stoichkov playing under van Gaal means he has seen all the bad and positives which come with his management style but it is always inevitable fall-outs will happen.
Having played under the Dutchman for a while, Stoichkov knows far more than United fans about van Gaal’s style and his previous track record of getting sacked does suggests clashes are an inevitability at Man United as well.
