The agent of PSV Eindhoven winger Memphis Depay insists there has been no contact between the Dutchman and Manchester United.
Depay, who has scored 20 goals in 30 appearances in all competitions this season, has been strongly linked with a move to Man United in recent weeks.
Paris Saint-Germain are also said to be interested in Depay following a hugely impressive campaign for the youngster.
However, the player’s agent, Kees Ploegsma, has not been in touch with any clubs about a potential transfer.
When asked if any clubs had been in contact about Depay, Ploegsma said: ”No, there has been a lot of rumors, but he still has a contract with PSV, so for now he is in Eindhoven. We have not been in contact with any clubs.
“They (Depay and Van Gaal) had good contact during the World Cup, but since then there has been no contact.”
Ploegsma’s comments appear to contradict reports suggesting that Depay’s move to Old Trafford was all but confirmed.
Fans will be hoping the club wrap up their summer transfers quickly after some slow business last year. Angel di Maria and Radamel Falcao were both signed after the campaign had started and the uncertainty contributed to a slow start for Louis van Gaal’s side. However, reports earlier this month suggested United have already secured three moves ahead of the summer transfer window.
